The offices behind the server halls.

A data center is mostly machines, but people still run it. Network operations staff, technicians, security officers and visiting customers spend their shifts in offices, conference rooms, break rooms and restrooms, and those rooms deserve the same care as a downtown office suite.

Reno Cleaning Co cleans the people side of the building: operations and network offices, lobbies and security entries, conference rooms, break rooms, restrooms and locker rooms. When an operator wants help inside the white space, that work follows the operator’s own written procedures and nothing else.

Large campuses and small technical rooms.

Whether your site is a large campus or a technical room inside an office tower, the plan starts with your access rules.

Operations offices, lobbies and break rooms.

Network operations rooms run around the clock, so we clean them in the calmest window your team picks. Desks, keyboards and console surfaces are wiped with a lightly dampened cloth, never sprayed, floors are vacuumed or mopped and trash is removed without touching anything on a screen or a whiteboard.

Lobbies and security entries set the tone for visiting customers: glass, the reception counter, badge readers and turnstile touchpoints are wiped, and the entry floor stays clear of the grit the high desert wind delivers. Break rooms, restrooms and locker rooms get the full treatment of our office cleaning and restroom care routines.

White space, to your procedures.

Inside the white space, cleaners follow the operator’s controlled-environment procedures to the letter. That usually means gowning and shoe covers at the entry, low-lint wipes and HEPA-filtered vacuums, and a top-to-bottom sequence that moves from cabinet tops and cable trays down to the floor so dust is never pushed back onto clean surfaces.

Raised floors get their own plan. Floor tiles are damp-mopped with approved products, and under-floor areas are vacuumed only when your team lifts tiles and supervises the work. Customers who set their own particulate targets, such as ISO 14644 cleanliness classes, give us those standards in writing, and our crews follow them.

Access, badges and escorts.

Every data center has strict rules about who goes where, and the cleaning plan is written around them. During the walkthrough we record badge requirements, sign-in steps, escort rules, man-trap procedures and rooms the crew must never enter. Background-checked cleaners follow those rules on every visit, and the same rules are reviewed whenever the site changes them.

When escorts are needed, we schedule visits to match your staff’s availability, so the work happens in one efficient pass rather than several stop-and-start trips. Supervisors run quality inspections in the areas the crew is cleared for.

Loading docks, storage and new space.

Equipment deliveries leave cardboard, foam and shrink wrap in receiving rooms and corridors. We clear that debris and keep the routes into secure areas clean, with corridors and receiving floors scrubbed through our floor and carpet care service.

When a new data hall or office wing is finished, our post-construction cleaning removes construction dust from offices, support rooms, ledges and grilles before the operator moves equipment in.

A calendar for the support spaces.

Most of the plan repeats on every visit. The crew services locker rooms and restrooms, wipes break room counters, sinks and appliance fronts, takes out trash and recycling, and cleans the lobby, badge station and operations office floors before the next shift settles in.

Weekly passes reach the details a nightly round skips: conference chairs, door frames, kick plates, interior partition glass and the corridor corners where packing debris tends to collect. Monthly or quarterly, crews add restroom deep cleaning, carpet extraction in the offices and a hard floor scrub in receiving. Your facilities lead can move any task to a different interval, and white space work keeps its own schedule, written by your team.

How data center cleaning is priced.

Pricing reflects the square footage of offices and support space, how many restrooms and break rooms are on the plan, visit frequency, whether white space work is included, gowning and escort time, and how often raised-floor tiles are cleaned. A free walkthrough with your facilities lead shows us the layout and the access rules.

You receive a written plan and quote that lists support spaces and controlled areas separately, along with a certificate of insurance for your records.

A few useful answers

Common questions

Do your cleaners enter the server rooms?

Only when you ask. White space work follows your written procedures, including gowning, approved products and any escort your team requires.

How are keyboards and consoles cleaned in the operations room?

With a lightly dampened, low-lint cloth. Nothing is sprayed onto equipment, and nothing on a desk or screen is moved.

Can cleaning be scheduled around our escort availability?

Yes. Visits are timed to the hours your staff can escort, so the work is done in one efficient pass.

Can you clean a new data hall before equipment arrives?

Yes. Post-construction crews remove dust from rooms, ledges and grilles so the space is ready for move-in.

Which tasks happen on every visit?

Restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, trash, lobby glass and office floors are handled each visit. Detail work and deeper restroom and floor care follow a weekly and monthly calendar.
