A home first, a building second.

In a retirement community, the people down the hall are neighbors rather than visitors, and the building is their address. Residents walk the same corridors every day, gather in the same dining room and bring visiting family in through the same front door, so the shared spaces carry a great deal of weight. Reno Cleaning Co cleans those spaces whether residents live independently, receive help with daily living or live in a memory care neighborhood, following a written plan shaped around the rhythm of the house.

Senior housing in Reno can be an apartment-style independent living building, a single-story assisted living home or a larger campus with several levels of care. The plan follows your floor plan, whether the dining room opens off the main lobby or sits across a courtyard, and supervisors run quality inspections against it so the standard holds from week to week.

The entry and the routes residents walk.

The lobby is where a family forms its first impression on a tour, and where neighbors stop to chat on the way to lunch. Entry glass, the welcome desk, lobby chairs, side tables and the mail area are wiped and polished, and the entry mats and the first stretch of floor inside the doors get extra minutes, since winter grit and wet boots arrive there first.

Long corridors get a steady routine: handrails wiped end to end, elevator call buttons and cab panels cleaned, door levers and light switches done, and carpet vacuumed right along the walls where walkers and wheelchairs travel. Baseboards, corners and elevator thresholds come up on a rotation, so dust never gets the chance to settle in.

Dining rooms, activity rooms and lounges.

Mealtimes set the pace of the day here, and after service the dining room gets a full reset. Tabletops and chair seats are wiped, chair legs and the floor beneath each table are checked for spills, before the floor gets vacuumed and damp-mopped for the next seating. Serving counters and the outside of beverage stations are cleaned on the same pass. Holiday meals and family events can get an extra visit afterward, so the room is set right again ahead of the next meal.

Activity rooms, the library nook, the chapel or event room, the beauty salon and the exercise room are listed one by one on the plan, timed for the days they see the most use. Common restrooms by the lobby and dining room are sanitized on every visit and refilled with paper, soap and liners, taken from your supply closet or delivered by us as janitorial supplies.

Offices and staff spaces behind the front desk.

The team that runs the community needs clean space too. Administration and sales offices, the room where tours begin, staff break rooms and locker areas get their turn during the same visit: desktops and counters cleaned, bins emptied and relined, breakroom sinks and tables cleaned and floors finished. Staff restrooms receive the same attention as the ones residents use.

Shared laundry rooms on each floor, mail and package rooms, and the resident computer corner are on the plan as well. Machines are wiped on the outside, folding counters cleared and lint swept from the floor, so these small rooms feel as welcoming as the lobby.

Timing that respects residents’ days.

A senior community never empties out the way an office does, so timing matters more than speed. During the walkthrough we note meal times, the activity calendar, quiet hours and the stretches of hallway residents like to walk in the evening. Cleaners take the dining room after the last seating, keep vacuums out of residential wings during quiet hours and put out wet-floor signs wherever a floor is still drying.

When the lobby and dining-room restrooms need attention through the day, a day porter can keep them fresh between meals and family visits, while the deeper work happens in the evening. When your calendar changes, for a holiday open house or a new weekly program, the plan changes with it.

Floor projects.

Extracting the hallway and dining-room carpet, and stripping and refinishing vinyl tile in corridors and service areas, are booked as floor projects on low-traffic days. Wings are worked in sections so residents always have a clear, dry path to their doors.

Putting your community’s plan together.

Every community is laid out differently, so pricing begins with a free walkthrough. Your quote reflects how much common space the community has, how many seatings the dining room serves, the activity rooms and common restrooms on each floor, how often each area is cleaned and any day porter hours and it arrives in writing. Floor projects are priced on their own, so you can book them for the weeks that suit the community.

A few useful answers

Common questions

Will cleaning get in the way of meals and activities?

No. The plan puts each room on the clock for when it sits empty: the dining room after the last seating, activity rooms between programs and corridors outside quiet hours.

Can the dining room carpet be deep cleaned without cancelling a meal?

Yes. Extraction is scheduled after the last seating of the day, and a supervisor checks the room before breakfast so tables and chairs are back where your staff keep them.

Who checks that the work meets our standard?

Supervisors carry out quality inspections against your written plan, room by room. Anything that needs another pass goes onto the next visit, and you can call with a change to the plan at any time.

Are your cleaners screened before they work in our building?

Yes. Background checks come before anyone joins a crew. We also carry insurance, bonding and workers’ compensation coverage, and you receive a certificate of insurance for your vendor records.
