Clean space for careful work.
Good science depends on surfaces nobody has to second-guess. When the floor beside a bench, the glass of a pass-through and the gowning room bench are clean and the visit is on record, your team can put its attention on the experiment instead of the room. Reno Cleaning Co cleans research labs, testing and quality-control rooms, R&D suites and controlled cleanrooms, together with the offices, breakrooms and restrooms that keep a lab building running.
Reno’s mix includes university research labs alongside engineering and technology firms, plus R&D and testing suites. Whatever the room is used for, it already has rules of its own, and our plan begins with yours.
Your SOP sets the rules.
Ahead of the first visit, your written cleaning procedure is read line by line and turned into the crew’s working plan: the rooms cleaners may enter, the gowning sequence, the wipes, mops and cleaning agents you approve, the direction of travel through each room and the way every visit is logged. The crew carries out that procedure step for step, and the plan only moves when your SOP does.
Supervisors inspect against that same document, so a room is handled identically on a quiet Tuesday and the night before an audit. When your quality team revises a step, tell us, and the crew’s sheet is updated before the next visit.
Wet labs, benches and fume hood exteriors.
In a working lab, the crew cleans the space your staff hand over. Floors under and around the benches are mopped by the method your procedure names, cleared bench tops and shelving are wiped, and sinks, door hardware, light switches and glove-box dispensers are cleaned on every pass. Fume hoods get an exterior wipe-down: sash glass, front panels, side panels and the base around each one.
Instruments, samples and labeled containers stay exactly where your team placed them, and cleaners work the open surfaces around them. Anything the plan marks as staff-only is simply left off the crew’s route.
Cleanrooms, gowning rooms and airlocks.
Cleanroom cleaning is deliberately unhurried. Crews gown in the order your procedure lays out, carry in only the approved wipes, mops and agents, and follow the room’s set pattern, which in most procedures means ceilings and walls before floors and the cleanest end of the room before the exit. Where your SOP orders the work differently, the SOP wins. If your procedure keeps controlled-room supplies apart from the general cart, the crew stages them separately and brings nothing from the office side through the airlock.
Gowning rooms, airlock floors, pass-through windows and tacky mats get the same written care. Mats are changed on the schedule you set, gowning benches are wiped down and the change area is left orderly, and each entry is signed on the log your procedure requires.
Offices, breakrooms and the rest of the building.
Most lab buildings are part office. Write-up desks, conference rooms, breakrooms, restrooms and lobbies are cleaned to the same standard as our office cleaning, with bins emptied, kitchen counters and sinks wiped, and restrooms sanitized and restocked through restroom care.
Vinyl tile in corridors and support rooms can be stripped and refinished, and sealed concrete in receiving and storage areas can be scrubbed. Both are booked as floor projects on days those rooms are free, so drying floors never sit in the way of a sample run.
The building entrance and the hand-off point between the office corridor and the lab wing are cleaned every visit. Grit tracked in from the parking lot stops at the mats, rather than riding a shoe cover into a controlled space.
Working around runs, shifts and shutdowns.
Labs rarely keep office hours. The walkthrough records the runs that can’t be interrupted, the rooms that stay sealed during certain steps and the windows when each space is open to cleaners. Visits land in the evening, on weekends or between runs, wherever your calendar has room, and a planned shutdown is a good time to book the deeper floor and wall work. When a run goes long, the crew moves on to rooms that are open and returns to the held room later in the visit or on the next one, as your plan directs.
What goes into a lab cleaning quote.
Price follows the procedure. The count of controlled rooms and their gowning steps, the square footage of labs and offices, how many nights a week each room is cleaned, the logging your quality team asks for and any floor projects all feed the written quote that follows a free walkthrough. Each line of the quote ties back to a line of your SOP, so you can see what you are paying for. Shutdown cleans and floor projects are quoted separately, which keeps the recurring price steady month to month.
A few useful answers
Common questions
Can your crew follow our cleanroom SOP?
Yes. The SOP becomes the crew’s plan, covering entry and gowning, approved agents and tools, the direction of cleaning and how each visit is logged. Send any revision our way and the crew works from the new version from then on.
Do you clean fume hoods?
Yes, on the outside. The crew wipes the sash glass, the front and side panels and the area around the base of each hood on the schedule your plan sets.
Can cleaning happen while an experiment is running?
Yes, in the rooms your plan clears for it. The walkthrough marks which rooms are open to cleaners during a run and which stay closed, and the crew comes back to the closed ones once they are free.
What can you send for our vendor file?
A certificate of insurance, which every client receives. It lists our bond, our insurance and our workers’ compensation policy, and a background check is on file for every person we send to your lab.
